Cast aside the mask and all the false hope.
Trapped in a cage and caged in a loop.
Doomed to come alive and cursed to lose it all.
So we change, evolve, forget.
We wear masks so that we'll never need to care, never need to mend the broken homes.
The whole planet stood back and shook, afterward the rain came down.
Answers unanswered cause questions unasked,
The light faced away from earth.
Nothing but machines, Dead men walking.
Day by day, weeks to weeks, month by month and years to years.
I will waste this life, never looking back.
I've given up a thousand times,
And I'll give up countless more.
Because we've been misled, told and taught that our lives are valueless, meaningless.
Now we figure out that there's no way out.
Sometimes we forget.
All those everlasting dreams are nowhere to be found, we've all given up.
